My mom used to tell us she was leaving us all a lot of $$ but I happen to know her $$ is all tied up in Michigan real-estate that NOBODY is buying, so i don't expect to get diddly-squat. I'll just be happy if she can support herself for the rest of her life.

If she passed tomorrow all I'd hope for is that we can dump the properties for a pittance before they're siezed for back taxes...

Some boomers got caught in the recession, too, another reason they might not be leaving anyone anything.
