My printer says to send to One Note before it will print. How do I do this as everything I try, nothing happens?

Does your printer really say that?

I opened up "Devices and Printers" from the control panel (Win7). I have a couple of bogus printers in there - one named "CutePDF Writer" and one named "Microsoft XPS Document Writer". Along with a real printer.

If I print to either of the bogus printers, I actually produce a file on the computer rather than a stack of printed paper. I get a standard file dialog asking me what to name this file and where to put it. If I'm using the "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" and put the file in a particular directory, a OneNote addon will grab the file and move it into OneNote.

Does that match what you're seeing?

And it's doing this when you do NOT want it to?

Then most likely the "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" is set to be your default printer. Go into the printer selection in the control panel, right-click on whichever printer (real or bogus) you want to use by default, and select "Set as default".
