My question is this. Does anyone have experience in selling motor homes? If so, what is the most effective method? Are there good websites, publications and the like on which we can advertise?

Nope, I've never done it. But when Mrs. Goofy and I were looking we went to dealers who sold used or on consignment and talked with the salespeople. They were always uninterested in showing the used stuff; I guess the commission wasn't as good. They also didn't know anything about the rigs, but I guess that's understandable.

I did an advanced search in newsgroups on Google using "how to sell" and either "motorhome" or "fifth wheel" and came up with a couple of hits. You might change some of the parameters and get a few more:

They talk about eBay and RVsearch, among other things.

Good luck.

BTW, we bought our motorhome privately, and the seller rejected our first offer. We knew he was dealing in a very small market of buyers, so we held out. After talking with a couple of RV shops, he called us back and made us a gigantically better counter-offer, which we accepted. I'm afraid it's mostly a buyers market, so you could get tagged for a loss here.
