OK, I'll admit, haven't read "The Rules" book, probably never will, have seen lots of excerpts from it, though, and well, I've got my own rules...

1. If you want his phone number, ask for it.
2. If you to call him, call him.
3. If you want to be friends, be friends.
4. If you want more, let him know, and go for it.
5. Don't sit around waiting for anyone to call - make your own life.
6. Don't be afraid to be the one to call.
7. Be yourself.
8. Don't be what you *think* he wants.
9. Marriage isn't for everyone, and there isn't anything wrong with you if you decide you're one of those people.
10. Life goes on.
11. There are much worse things in life than being alone.
12. Take great joy in who *you* are.
