My thanks to utahtea, Windowseat, and OilyFool for your replies. After posting my request for advice, I realized that I would definitely want to be told if the situation were reversed (as a couple of you pointed out), so last night I told him about it.

Note to OilyFool: Sorry -- three strikes and you're out! (or "C" is the correct answer -- as always). My husband sells heavy equipment and I work at a firm that has both Continental and Compaq as clients, but the recent layoffs at those companies are coincidental to my situation. My firm has been outsourcing sections for about a year now. My section is about the last one they can whack and still maintain an identity.

Hmmmmm.

Well, many thanks for the input. Those who said "tell!" were right.

Best regards,

Rider
