My wife and I both have a Roth IRA, but my wife does not work. May I contribute to her account? What are the rules regarding married couples?

If you file a joint return with AGI under $150,000 and have $4,000 in taxable earned income between you, each of you can contribute $2,000 to a Roth IRA. See IRS Publication 590.
