Thank you.

<<<Only co-sign if you can pay the bill yourself.>>>

Yes. We can pay the bill. We would need an attorney though, up front, for a variety of contingencies that I can think of.

<<<I would suggest that he talk to Citi and ask why they changed his account over. I don't know if they'll fix it retroactively, but it's worth a call.>>>

The personal credit card was cancelled because there was suspicious activity. Don't know WHY they made the change to a business credit card. It is now 7 years later. Doubt there are answers at this point.

Family member did call them about this. Citi would not even guarantee that a new personal credit card would be approved. I think so? Citi also said that the business credit card history could NOT be transferred to the new personal credit card.

However, Citi said that they would send a letter to family member stating that all payments were on time and in full. Citi would not agree to send the letter to the credit bureaus though.

<<<In some cases (not all, just some) if he can prove that he's been responsible in terms of paying his bills there are some banks that will accept this. If he has his accounts at a small bank rather than a giant, this might be worth considering.>>>

His checking account is at BBT, not a small bank. I don't know if there is a small local bank or not. I'll look into it.

Thank you for your reply.
