You guys have given me great advice in the past, so I'm hoping you can help me out again.

Here's the deal:

I rent a driveway for my truck. My husband's grandmother parks her car across the driveway. This was agreed upon with the landlord when I rented the driveway.

I've been renting at this location for a little more than a year. My rent has always been paid on time, and I have had no complaints from the landlord.

Last nite, while my husband and I were out, the landlord's sister knocks on his grandmother's door. She tells his grandmother that we have to "get out because we need it", effective 1/15.

My questions are:

- Because the driveway is being rented in my name, doesn't the landlord or his rep. have to notify me personally? In writing?
- Do they have to show cause for evicting me?
- Aren't they required to give 30 day's notice?

If I truly do have to move, what is the best (read: quickest) way to find another driveway/parking space? Unfortunately, because of the size of my truck, finding parking on the street is next to impossible. I'm still pretty new to the area, so really don't have any clue as to where the best places to look are. (I have considered selling my truck, as I don't drive terribly often, but would be replacing it with a smaller car and so would still have a parking issue)

If it helps, I'm in the Bensonhurst area of Brooklyn.

Thanks in advance for your help!!!
