I pulled money out of a non-self directed ROTH due to lack of performance. I want to use the Motley Fool tools and advice. I'll open a ScottTrade account but don't know how to set up a new Roth that will let me self-direct. Do I have to use a stock broker to start one? How can I self direct within the Roth? Any advice would be helpful.
