Never, ever accept a position where you would not like to work long-term, because you could be there long-term 5 + years.

If you fail to find a suitable position in your field at an acceptable employer, what do you do?

1. Accept a lesser position in your field?
2. Create an ancillary position as consulting or working temp jobs?
3. Take a position outside your field for income to tide you over and reduce demand on our savings?
4. Work for a second rate employer with a weak or losing business plan?
5. Collect your unemployment and keep looking?
