I last bought a new car in 1998, and it was a Saturn so it was a non negotiable price. As a result I'm having to do a lot of research right now to get up to speed on everything I need to know for my current car search.A couple of issues that I'm not sure what to think about:1) Is there an advantage in buying from a dealership that has lots of cars on the lot? I'm considering an Acura TSX and there are two dealerships nearby. One has tons of ILX and MDX and only 2-3 TSXs. The other has a good variety of all models, including a few dozen TSXs. So I'm wondering if I'd be likely to get a better price at the dealership with plenty of inventory (thinking that with only a couple on the lot, the other dealer may be willing to hold out for a full price buyer).2) I noticed a 2012 model listed as used with only 450 miles on it. I'm wondering what downsides there might be to a car used that little compared to a new 2012 model. The best I can come up with is that the warranty would be a bit shorter?
