I happened to spot Kaman the other day as it made a new high. It looks like a stable company, but I am trying to assess its growth potential. Anybody know the current status of the family management alluded to in earlier posts. It sounded like a change was approaching. Also, would the company benefit from increased military spending on helicopters?
i don't think that Kaman is into military equipment. i think that there helicopters from what i have seen are more for the person looking to own one for small business purposes.
kaman is a pretty diversified company. They and their subsidiaries have many military contracts. Kaman's 2 main helicopters that they have developed are the K-Max arial truck, which is used a lot for heavy payload lifting (such as logging companies), and the SH-2G Super Sea Sprite, which has many functions and has been sold to our and many foreign militaries.
I'm in it for the guitars...I bought my first Ovation a couple of months ago, and decided that I should own a little piece of the company too.Keep on Foolin'!Tommy O
