Kind Friends:

I just recommended a board I call “Jimmy Buffett-Style Retirement” in the Speaker's Corner.

My idea behind this board was not to make it about retirement investments necessarily (although those topics shouldn't be excluded) but more about steps taken to make you dreams a reality. For example, we all invest to reach a goal. If your goal was to be a professional ski bum within 20 years you would share that goal on the board, and individuals would systematically come in and discuss different aspects of the goal with you. It could be what ski towns are the best, who has the best rates on seasons passes, where can you find the best work on the mountain, how can you move out of your current job, etc…The list is endless.

That's my idea anyway. Just talking about the financial stuff gets boring on its own. Making money for the sake of making money does nothing for me. So lets chat about what the goals are behind our Foolishness.

Hope to see you there.
