Hi everyone,

I just bought a new Honda Civic Hybrid last week. So far I'm incredibly impressed. I can't ANY difference between it and a normal civic. That's the whole point, isn't it? I don't have to make any compromises in looks and performance. I did a 180 mile trip this weekend and averaged ~48 mpg! I will never own a non-hybrid again, at least until fuel cells become available.

I have one question to the people on this board. Does anyone know the environmental impact of manufacturing and disposing of the NiMH batteries? I'm wondering what the OVERALL environmental savings is over a traditional car.

Thanks,
Dan
