Nice to be able to chortle over how painless Linux is on startup/ shutdown :)

Actually, Linux is pretty easy to start up and shut down. Once I got dual booting working.

My machine has two or three hard drives, depending on how you count them. And it will get the two largest SCSI hard drives from my old computer, if they still work, as soon as the PCIe SCSI controller comes in.

When I installed Linux, that no longer comes with an installation manual, I managed to put the boot block on the second hard drive instead of the first. So it would boot only into Windows. It took about 12 hours (though I was asleep for some of them) until I figured out how to do it right. Now that is OK.
