I apologize for reading too much into your "near death" statement. When mine are 'near death' the drive to the junk yard is usaually what does them in. LOL :)

I should not have replied to your original post in the first place. Eventhough, I do really belive if we get paid to fix something we should fix it, realistically that does not happen all the time. I'm just jaded, because I'm the one that ends up with the complaints about insurance going up, and those usually come from people who have turned in claims.

You are entitled to a settlement, which you are getting. The money is yours to do with as you please. How you choose to view/use that settlement is your own decision.
