No! Don't calm down yet! We still need to

~ ~ ~ PANIC ~ ~ ~

Sunspots! Solar flares! Drought and floods in every town! If it isn't El Nino, it's La Nina! If you're not panicking, you don't understand the problem! Hyperventilating is healthy! Send me all your money if you want to survive!

[cough] excuse me.

Guess what - the world will keep on going just as it always has; disasters will come that nobody could predict, a few lucky people will make a killing due to placing the right bet and many more will lose their life savings making the wrong bet. The powerful will still oppress the powerless, unless the powerless rise in revolt and set up a new leader, who will continue to oppress the powerless. You'll still be able to buy a few moments of happiness, but true lasting joy still won't be widely available. Technology will continue to advance to the point where we won't be able to imagine what life was without it, but life will suspiciously be very similar to what it used to be.
