I think I am finally REALLY grasping that I can't do all the housework really well once and not do it any more, ever. (That would be great, wouldn't it?!?)

I'm just going to have to accept that I will be spending 15-60 minutes a day, every day, doing dishes, laundry, cooking, dusting, sweeping, mopping, sorting, polishing, arranging, something, daily.

FOR THE REST OF MY ENTIRE LIFE

Add to that those repetitive eating, sleeping and exercising activities. I find they really get in the way ;-)

OK, OK, but I could really do without the daily hair and makeup ritual. Like to do that just once!

I guess one could simplify the hair ritual, depending on what one's hair looks like to begin with.

And I don't know about anybody else here, but I don't ever wear any makeup -- don't even own any. If you want to wear it, I guess it'll take time and money.

Personally, I wear makeup only for occasional fun and never as a routine part of *anything* (not even going out).

The thing that amazes me is how little anyone notices. As a teenager, I believed that you *had* to spend your 20 minutes putting on makeup before being seen in public. But I haven't had makeup as a part of my daily regime since I was 18, and it doesn't seem to have affected anything -- I get an extra 20 minutes in the morning that I'd otherwise devote to makeup, I save a bundle of money, and no one seems to notice. Works for me!
