No one hates you. LOL I think you are leaving out a very important part of the equation here, that you didn't have a receipt. With a receipt you are guaranteed to receive the full refund regardless of what's on sale at the moment. PSUN's policy is really no different than most when it comes to returns without a receipt. Without knowing exactly when you purchased the item how could they possibly give back the full amount when the item is now on sale? The ticket could say $50 but still be on sale for $30. If it were that easy, I'd walk into any store and buy a boatload or merch on sale and return it the next day for the difference. I believe the only reason the manager gave you the full amount is because you complained and managers are told to placate the customer when the situation arises, regardless if the company is taking a loss. In this case it sounds that they did go overboard, if as you say they just marked down the item a couple of hours prior and knew you didn't purchase the item that day.

On the other hand, you're dealing with teenagers who don't always use the most tactful language. Meanwhile, this company has bigger fish to fry at the moment, where a turnaround looks to be no where in sight.
