Actually, it's not all taxes. These statistic apply only to federal individual income taxes.

That is correct, but I thought we were talking about federal taxes. Is Buffett interested in getting involved in setting state tax rates, pay-roll taxes (which are not taxes at all, they are mostly forced contributions to a pension plan), sales taxes, etc.?

OK. Let me restate. Federal individual income taxes are very progressive already. How progressive they should be, in order to be fair, is not self-evident. Saying that they should be more progressive, in order for wealthy people to be paying their 'fair share', is just a circular argument.
