No, you miss MY point. The engineer about whom we were speaking often shows him to be challenged in both math and reading comprehension.

OK, ya got me. In my defense, I was always under the impression that YOUR point was a self-evident truth that didn't need to be made explicit. You went to the trouble to make it explicit, thus the confusion. The problem with the true believer is that regardless of what he/she is reading, it won't be comprehended unless what's on the page agrees with the preconceived notions (e.g. fantasies nudge, nudge, wink, wink) running around in the true believer's head. Therefore, the US MUST have 30-50 times more cars than the UK and cars in the UK MUST all be roughly the size of a Nissan Micra.

The last time I drove a car that small anywhere was, admittedly, in the UK. It was one of these

and it was in the late 80's on a business trip.
