Nobody responded to tchalem, #31? I'm curious as to why?

Bowled, we're all new to this board. I'm surprised it hasn't taken off yet, what with October being such a stunner month for everyone this side of Louis Rukyser. I think post 31 just confirmed the jaded views of many who check here, and, if they did what I did, they just shook their heads.

I worked for a research analyst at a smallish broker here in LA when I was between jobs last winter. There was lots of good faith in reviewing data and journalism and monitoring conference calls and talking to buyers, etc. Then there was a disconnect whenever a report would get published. I saw two strong buys get cut in half in the month I was there. Plenty of "inventory" on the broker's books, though, and the recommendation was never close to being reconsidered.
