Here is a chance for the Foolanthropy -- Charity Drive to contribute to the beginnings of a new information and education resource for American consumers. The Financial Literacy for Youth Community of Practice is part of the Financial Security for All Community of Practice, one of the pioneers from the national Cooperative Extension Service to bring the educational resources of the land grant university system to the consumers in a 24/7/365 format. It is located at http://www.extension.org/personal+finance
Currently the resources available in the Financial Security for All website include the following resources for youth audiences (and parents of younger children):
•Thrive by Five (Developed by CUNA with Extension input) •What's Up In Finance •A resource “It all Adds Up” is currently being revised for inclusion. *Parenting Advice *Information on children and money topics for parents
$10,000 would go a long way in providing the incentive for acquiring and developing additional resources for this site.
