Nosler Ballistic Tip, 150 grain, cci200 primer, 46-47 grains of 4064 imr. should give you about 2775 - 2850 fps out of a 22" barrel. If you haven't looked at 4064 before, start at 44.5 and work up a half grain at a time. Watch for excessive pressure signs.I have found the Nosler BT bullets to be the most accurate I've ever used and on deer-sized game, the 150 with a bc of slightly over .2 will do just fine. I wouldn't suggest this load for elk, but properly placed it would drop one in its tracks as easily as a round from a 300 mag.Good hunting!Myself, I'm using a Martin 74# compound this year with a initial velocity of 265 fs with a 100 grain razorhead. ;-) Might also use a 6.5x55 with 120 grain nosler bt and 48 grains of alliance 19 over a 200cci primer - gives about 2800 fs and at 200 yards will put 10 in a row in the same hole out of a 107 year old Swedish Mauser M-96 with a 6.5x20x52mm scope. I don't lug it around in the woods a lot because the whole thing weighs about 8.5 pounds, but my goodness does it ever shoot good for a rifle that old (or any other for that matter)!Spikie
