Not AGI, earnings. In order not to be deemed discriminatory the contribution for all employees is a flat percentage of gross earnings. The contribution can be based on no more than the first $160,000 of compensation for the current year, and cannot exceed the lesser of 15% of the gross earnings, or $30,000.

These are employer contributions. Employee contributions, under the old SAR-SEP configuration are no longer possible, unless they are to a pre-existing SAR-SEP plan what has continued.
