Not much time for hobbies (reading, what's that?). For me this year has been:

1 - work
2 - school
3 - mom & her various appts
4 - my health (feb & mar not good months at all)

So the semester is winding down (then on to clinicals!). One would hope that would give me more free time. <shrug> I doubt it. I have taken some vaca days in May & a week in June. No plans other than to relax (ha!) & maybe finally finish painting the dining room (which I started in August right after I made settlement).

Trying to continuously declutter. Working well so far. Also trying to keep my spending under control (not just for things that will look good in the house/yard but I find I'm still food shopping as if someone else were here eating with me - I need to figure out how much I really need - this may require rearranging some cabinets to keep things in view.

And there are always wants. I saw a really cute plate set. I really like it (it's square, I've always had a thing for square plates, my special just for me place setting is also square). I really want it. There just isn't anything wrong with my current set other than it's round (well, I chipped one sandwich plate but that's it). And my current set was expensive, so no just donating it. I'm trying to decide if I should try to sell it & buy the new set with the $ or just suck it up & keep using it.

On top of that ridiculous dilemma my Keurig has given up the ghost. I got it used about 2 years ago (was not spending the money on a brand new platinum). Other than occasional issues fixed with descaling the machine it's been great. Tons of reviews say that this particular model dies shortly after the warranty (1 yr) so I've gotten great mileage out of mine. But I spent hours yesterday descaling it & it's still not working. Sucks up the water but then nothing. I have to decide to get another one (I would go back to the mini type - it's cheaper & if it's not going to last years & years I'd prefer not to spend more than $80) or just do without & either give or sell all my k-cups (an obscene amount of k-cups). I would have to get a regular coffee maker for when I have guests that prefer coffee (in my heart I'm a tea girl so I could do without but most everyone else I know likes coffee). I'm not sure what to do about this one.

So really, nothing major other than these 2 stupid issues. Life can't be all that bad if this is what I'm fussing over, right?

Michele
