Not that you had a problem with it, that they would some how think that was acceptable??????????

Obviously, some people must be paying it because this was a very successful firm that we were talking to, but it made no sense whatsoever that the fee would include the value of the house. We actually asked about it because it made no sense, and it's not like we'd be selling the house, and this guy went through great pains to explain that yes, it was included because they'd be considering the value when they were figuring out how to allocate our investments.

That wasn't the best part though. I especially liked it when he said that they'd manage our money, and if we had anything we wanted done specifically in terms of buying or selling, they'd take it under advisement, but wouldn't necessarily follow those instructions.

We had all we could do to keep from running out of that place.
