Not unless they've changed recently. I signed up with them probably 2 years ago now and I've never paid them a cent. They sent me a daily email with their top headlines in each section and links to the full story; and a couple of weekly emails on special topics. I also have a couple of alerts set up, for example whenever they publish a story including the word Valassis they tell me about it. I think it is a really good, free service, perhaps only bettered by the Guardian (http://guardian.co.uk)

They also have premium services which you pay for, but I don't use them.
