Note that the battery complaints about the iPhone may be partly user related . Like not knowing how to shut off battery grabbers like GPS.

If users need to seek out special knowledge to learn how to keep the battery from running low, then I wouldn't call that a success for iPhone.

Fortunately, I don't think it's necessary. I never do anything special to manage my battery life except to log in to wifi networks wherever I find them. (WiFi is more energy efficient than cellular data transmissions.)

Since I've had my 4S, I've never used up the battery in one day. (Though I have had it die on me when I forgot to charge it overnight.)
