Nortel Plans to Create New E-Commerce Unit Around Clarifyexcerpt from Bloomberg: Toronto, March 18 (Bloomberg) -- Nortel Networks Corp., North America's No. 2 phone-equipment maker, plans to create a new business unit around recently acquired Clarify Inc. that will help corporate customers do business over the Internet, the Globe and Mail reported, citing unnamed sources. The new unit will generate at least $1 billion of sales per year for Nortel, which completed its acquisition of San Jose, California-based Clarify for $3.8 billion in stock earlier this week, the paper said.
