Oddly enough, I still occasionally think about things that I would tell my dad (he would have been so proud about my getting my M.Ed. this year - he had a thing about degrees), but then realize that he isn't there to tell to anymore.

Yeah - me too. Usually it's a flashback to the 80's or some music I think he would have liked. I guess it's all part of the grieving process. We need to remember this about our friends and family, too. Just because it's been a few weeks or months or a year, we need to be there for them as we need people there for us to help with the grief.

I'm sure he would be proud of you (and your degree), and I hope you carry that with you.
