Thanks much for that link. The issue is of some concern to me, but particularly because I have a friend who is in the early stages of starting a foundation which is still a few years away. I can see him easily falling prey to some of the issues here. He's in process of contacting various attorneys and accountants and claims to be in discussions with various types of reputed professionals familiar with foundations, but I have always been skeptical of his judgement. He's asked me to join his foundation and I'm intrigued, but leery.

If you have more informational links about starting, running, managing foundations, I'd love to read it. I know there are tons of information and agencies that deal with foundations, but I haven't a clue.
