I'm getting ready to purchase a gaming notebook, which will come with either Win 7 or Win 8 OEM, my first experience w/OEM. A few questions:

There won't be a installation disc for the OS, correct? So the first thing I'd need to do would be to make an img file or clone my disc, since that's the only version I would have of the OS. Is there any limit to the number of times I can make images and use them?

If I install an SSD in my notebook to replace the HDD that came with it, will I be able to put that img from the HDD on the SSD? I mean, is it legal to put it on a different disc in the same machine? And will that work technically, putting an img of a regular HDD onto a SSD?

Thanks!
