I just wanted to say how comical I think these credit card companies are. I would hope they'd pull your reports before sending offers.

A little over a year ago I had very low balance. I got a lot of 0% BT offers. I used them and got myself in trouble. I purchased the engagement ring for my wife using CCs and BT'd most of it to 0%. Of course, I got larger limits than what I needed so I spend a little extra on top of it.

Then the 0% offers dried up. I was not getting many, and eventually tried to apply for one of the AT&T universal cards with 0% BT. I was rejected.

The offers I was receiving at the high point of those balances were usually 4.9% BT with 18% rates on purchases.

Now that I've paid it down again, I'm flooded with 0% offers.

I just think it's comical how they're willing to help you out with low rates to get you in trouble, but willing to put the screws to you when you're already in debt.

I'm glad I found the Fool who taught me to pay off my cards and put those CC companies to work for me, instead of the other way around.
