News "Back in May, BGR exclusively reported that Microsoft (MSFT) was planning to release Office 2013 for Android and iOS later this year. It looks like Microsoft’s suite of work apps won’t hit Google (GOOG) and Apple’s (AAPL) mobile platforms until March 2013, however, according to IHNED’s recounting of a statement by Microsoft’s Czech Republic product manager Petr Bobek.

The Verge says a press release from Microsoft Czech Republic states: ”In addition to Windows, Office will be also available on other operating systems, Windows Phone, Windows RT, Mac OS,......"

Even if this is not 100% confirmed is something to think about.
Has Microsoft finally change the strategy and is thinking about "disbundling" the Windows+Office+IE? How this move will impact Windows sales? How this move will impact Office sales?

It's kind of strange this move if you think that Windows 8 is a very aggressive change of interface and is an attempt to try to capture the tablet market.

This news is something to think about:

Pros:
Expands Office base
Increase a de-facto standard

Cons:
Against Windows 8. No need to switch iPad for Windows 8 tables to use office.

Any other ideas welcome.

Regards,

Hugo
