I joined O due to some relatively simple analysis. I looked at thier charts and Yahoo Key Stats and found that other than thier debt, they look very good. Even if you include thier rather slow growth as of late, most likely due to the rising interest rates and fear from that, they grow about an average of 12% compounded. The yield averages 6%, so the average gain from this stock has been about 18% compounded yearly.

Its my opinion that O is a "best kept secret" you almost never hear of any mutual fund, news story or other major event surrounding O. I found it by accident, putting in A, then B then C and so on and seeing what each single letter ticker is. Silly, but fruitful, as what was once a silly excercize for some amusement, became, "hmm, they look really good"... Since that day, I and 3 other friends have bought O.

Does anyone here have a story as to why they bought O, what returns they expected, perhaps some comments on the debt. The debt doesn't bother me too much, though usually debt this high does, as O releases various securities of thier own with fixed interest rates, such as preferred stock among other options, and its normal for property buying to cause some high debt load. I suspect when they get more of the debut paid down, the stock will pick up again and quickly.
