Flying to Kalispel, then driving rentacar north to waterton for a few hikes, then a few days in banf for more hiking.

Verizon won't sell my cell plan any international package unless I give up my grandfathered plan which has really cheap unlimited data.

I do have an old unlocked GSM flip phone we've used in the UK and Italy, just buying prepaid sim cards as needed.

Can this be done in Waterton Pincher Creek and Canmore are the towns we pass through on the way to Banff??? We aren't going through Calgary. Where can we get a sim card?

Also, for spending cash, what's the best way to get Canadian cash? Banks or ATMS or???

Also, how do we avoid VISA's danged 3% international bite?
