I am very pleased to announce that my knees are feeling much better. So much better when I get a call at home "Please Suesan, we are short women this season, can you please play on the soccer team tonight....?"I agreed. (last time, I broke my nose and vowed never to play again)So I'm hoofing it up and down the field and feeling pretty good. Now mind you, I'm am the worst player, absolutely worst player on the field, but I just love running up and down, jostling people and digging out the ball.My side is down and we have thirty seconds left on the clock and the ball is kicked down field right to me. I gleefully race to it, intending to land on my left foot and whack it in with my right foot, so I am completely airborne (you see the next part don't you). I land on my left foot and it inverts and I hear snap, crackle, juicy pop, pop, pop. I hit the ground and yell an obscenity and just hold my left foot. I don't think I've experienced that much pain since child birth. And it wouldn't go away- I expected it to stop but it wouldn't - to the point I became naseauted. The outcome was - an inversion sprain, no break and I'm off to my own doctor on Monday to see if I tore anything. I'm on crutches with an air cast on. And I'm dreaming now to my next sequence of advil.meow meow meow.Suesanbut I did feel finally part of the team where they all gather round and tell you about all their injuries.
