OK, more questions everyone...

What is a "port" for an underwater housing? I think this has something to do with attaching a lens to the housing.

Do you recommend getting a color filter? I think this costs about $70 at Ikelite. I plan on getting a strobe, so I'm not sure this is necessary.

The difference between a DS-51 (50 watt-sec) and a DS-125 (110 watt-sec) is $500. Recharge time difference is 3.5 seconds vs 1 second. Is this extra power something I really need as a beginner?

In comparing different strobe packages at Ikelite, I can get a TTL sync cord or I can get a EV Manual Controller for $50 more. What is the difference and is it worth the extra cost?

Has anyone used the Canon Powershot 950IS or the Canon Powershot G9? Opinions? I am now leaning toward a G9, based upon my research on the internet.

Thanks for the help!
