Okay, I just read through this entire thread and there were 3 post I wanted to reply to:

First the original post:

I would like to buy the fincial peace book and work books and give it to our friends for xmas gifts. How do I do this without insulting or embarrising them? We really enjoy our time with them and would really like to see them join us in a simpler life style. thanks

While you may have the best of intentions at heart, unless this other couple has complained or come to ask you personally for advice about their financial situation, stay out of it.

Comprimise: Get them a gift certificate to Amazon or Barnes and Noble with a list of reccommended books to buy. Put a variety of books on the list, financial, and others so you are not being specific.

Show them your books. Talk about TMF site and what it has done for you, but don't preach about it. Be enthusiatic and upbeat.
