Ok...so people who don't follow DCA presumably stopped investing during 2001 and 2002 for some reason? I just kept investing all I could. DCA itself doesn't have anything to do with investing during a downturn. Obviously everyone should invest consistently. It's a math thing that shows investing a certain amount each month -regardless of how much you actually have to invest- might in some circumstances beat investing less methodically.But it's easier for me to throw the fuzzy logic of DCA out the window and just invest as much as I can. Every time I read an article on it I just want to puke. Nick
