Oldfool31..."The Bible lays out the whole thing in a logical order that science has never refuted. In fact, the deeper science probes the molecule and the universe, the more they support the Bible's teachings. Everyone wants to argue over whether it all happened in a week or not. I agree, it probably took longer than 168 hours. But, that is a nitpick. The Sun was created before the Earth and man came after the animals. Everyone agree to that. So, what is the problem?

Evolution is true and it is supported by more evidence than a person could read in a lifetime. The only people who do not accept evolution (world wide) do so because their religion is in irreconcilable conflict with observable reality. Evolution is tied in with every field of human knowledge from linguistics to light-years and is growing at an unprecedented rate. The ongoing understanding of our DNA will reveal ALL transitional developmental pathways in our miraculous heritage.

The problem for creationists arises from the fact that evolution does not require, nor in any way support a Garden of Eden explanation for our origin. As one accepts evolution the G of E explanation takes on the status of fable. And if the Garden of Eden story is just figurative, then there was no talking snake, there was never a tree of knowledge and there was no original sin. And if there was no original sin, why did Jesus have to die?

Also Dr. F. Collins (genome project) does not believe in evolution, because he can't embrace the fact that evolution did not have us as a developmental goal.
