On April 15, 2012, during the height of the protests, the Orlando Sentinel reported, “They [the CRS] helped set up a meeting between the local NAACP and elected officials that led to the temporary resignation of police Chief Bill Lee according to Turner Clayton, Seminole County chapter president of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.” So?Isn't that what CRS is supposed to do, provide support to local governments in situations like this? You know, like providing "technical assistance" and help arrange meetings between conflicting parties.Any idea what the DOJ spent the $4,518.17 on? Sounds like travel expenses to me. Community organizing. Pffft. This looks like another "no there there" scandal.
