Because I live in Maine where the winters are borderline ridiculous, I make myself a margaritas every once in a while (alright, 10 times a day, max honest!). I am bored with my latest concoctions, so I ask for your margarita recipes. By way of consideration for my reques, I give you Jimmy Buffet's recipe for the "Perfect Margarita.") Fill shaker with broken cubed ice 2) Squeeze 2 fresh lime wedges into shaker 3) Add 2 oz. of Margaritaville Tequila Oro 4) Add 1/2 oz. Margaritaville Tequila Blanco (for bite if you wish) 5) Add 1 1/4 oz. of Roses Lime Juice 6) Add 1/2 oz. of Bols Triple Sec 7) Add a splash of Bols Orange Curacao 8) Cover shaker & shake vigorously 9) Rim glass with lime peel and salt, add fresh ice 10) Strain mixture over ice 11) Squeeze in 1 lime wedge 12) Enjoy So, what do you have for me???-Gekko II

They're screamin' boat drinks!Something to keep the night warm . . My limited experience indicates that you should ignore any margarita recipes written in Dutch. <grin>I have drifted away from serious drink concocting as I have become more and more of wino. A nice German reisling mixes very well with sunshine. None of this complicated jigger of this and a splash of that.We once found the perfect weingarten. It was in a pleasant little farming community along the Moselle River. What they farmed there was grapes. Rows and rows of the little buggers going up the hillsides on either side of the river. Seemed like every 4th house had sign offering wine tasting or B&B (and a few both). Most of the tourists were downstream enjoying the medieval splendors of Zell (Zeller Schwartze Katz) and Cochem. But Peisport (Peisporter Michaelsburg, etc) is nice and quiet.And if you are ever there, find the little bridge over the Moselle right in the middle of town. Not the upstream bridge, nor the downstream bridge, but the one in the middle. And there by the bridge, is a little winery with a little winegarten. Where you can sit in the sun, with only the bike path between you and river, quietly emptying modestly priced bottles of fine local wine. They have some snacks on the menu and they have a few rooms as well. I don't know its name, but I remember it well.Regards,Baanista
