One caveat: I have a self-cleaning oven and I love it. However, because the temps get so high, I have heard that the fumes coming from the oven during the cleaning cycle are dangerous to small pets! And, if the fumes are that dangerous, think what it might be doing to our lungs!Another caveat: With a self-cleaning oven you will want to take out the racks as they do not hold up to the higher temps as well. To clean the racks, put them in the tub, spray with the "no-heat" oven cleaners and let sit for the required time. Then use the shower to rinse them off. (This can also be done outside with a hose weather permitting.) Of course, if you do them in the shower, you will then have to clean the tub .....TMF Dawn
