One goal of this session is to befriend another non-Catholic Christian and talk about what we have in common. This is very difficult for me. Any suggestions?

Yes. What we most have in common is a particular Jew, and also we have a strong Jewish heritage. So I would try to invite a Jewish friend also. Maybe you will end up at a Seder on Holy Thursday.
