One need never be bored. I could even work part time and invest that money. Anyway, there are a lot of things for me to figure out. There's more to life than a full time job and being at someone's beck and call 40 hours plus.

I dumped out of the race at 49. It's been wonderful. I highly recommend it, particularly while you're still able to enjoy the harvests of a lifetime. On the other hand, the "beck and call" part never really ends, if you are married.
