One other idea, as an alternative to buying actual bonds. You can buy call options or LEAPS on TLT, an ETF with a relatively high duration. That way you can speculate on a large amount of notional bonds without putting up much capital. But be aware that as with all long options strategies, if rates don't move your way before expiration, you lose whatever you invested.
