I’m afraid I don’t know the name. Oh, wait a sec, I know Pete Asimov. Runs a grocery store with his wife Esmeralda. As I say to her often: “Nice melons, Esmeralda.” But I don’t know Pete wrote other than with a fat marker. Lots of signage at his store Amazing Groceries all done by him.

Hold on, hold on. The synapses in this 70 year-old brain are firing. When I was a magazine editor there was a writer whose name was Yitzhak Asimov. Tried to sell me stories about robots or something. Turned him down because our readership was electrical contractors. Don’t know what happened to him. I hope he followed my advice and worked in shoe repair.

So I am mystified by the allusion.
