Greetings, fellow fools...

The Fool 50 is a distinguished bunch, to be sure. But down 20% for the TTM period?

Remember MF Boring? He must be the one ROTFLHAO. As one wag posted at the Cargill (NYSE: CAG) board, "You'll never get rich here but people gotta eat." Boring, perhaps, but necessary.

Likewise, the railroads (yes, the railroads -- all six of the big ones plus 500+ small ones) quietly continue to move grain, coal, frozen vegetables, autos, chemicals, shipping containers and UPS vans throughout North America and do it quite profitably, thank you.

Compared to the Fool 50's 20% decline, the three best performing rail stocks are up 15%, 22%, and 30% over the past twelve months.

Want to know which they are? The answer is on the Railroads Message Board.

Roy
